PBC Maverick
Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 6, 2026
Who operates PBC Maverick
PBC Maverick is operated by Providence Baptist College to provide authorized students, teachers, staff, applicants, and guests with access to institutional workflows. This policy describes information processed through the PBC Maverick mobile app, installed web app, and related web services.
Information we process
- Account and profile information, including name, email address, internal user identifier, roles, permissions, and institution-managed profile details.
- Information used by enabled college features, which may include class, enrollment, attendance, orientation, pass, application, guest, and other campus workflow records.
- When Accountability is enabled, weekly reports may include church attendance, ministry involvement, tithing responses, soulwinning activity, free-form notes, certification, submission status, offenses, and related institutional fines.
- When a student uses a College-managed Service Check-ins kiosk, the kiosk uses its camera to capture a required check-in photo. The photo is associated with the attendance record, stored privately, and available only to authorized personnel with dedicated photo-access permission.
- Information you submit to support or account/data request forms, including your contact details and explanation.
- When notifications are enabled, a push token or endpoint, an app installation identifier, platform, preferences, delivery status, and limited delivery logs.
- App, native-shell, and signed web-bundle version information used to select a compatible over-the-air update. Updates are limited to app web assets and do not replace native permissions or native code.
- Limited operational and security information, such as timestamps, app interactions, browser or app version, errors, and security events. Network addresses are processed transiently to route requests but are not retained in full. PBC Maverick does not request precise location.
How information is used
Providence Baptist College uses this information to authenticate users, enforce role-based access, support academic and campus operations, record attendance and Accountability obligations, administer related institutional policies and fines, deliver requested communications, respond to support and data requests, maintain security, diagnose failures, meet institutional obligations, and provide compatible app updates.
Sharing and service providers
Information is available only to authorized college personnel and service providers or institutional systems needed to operate a feature. These may include hosting and database providers, Postmark for email delivery, Apple and Google for app distribution and push notification delivery, and college-integrated systems used for authorized institutional workflows. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect users, the College, or its systems.
Tracking, advertising, and device access
PBC Maverick version 1 has no advertising, does not sell personal information, and does not track people across other companies' apps or websites. The PBC Maverick mobile app does not request contacts, camera, microphone, or precise location access. A separate College-managed Service Check-ins kiosk web page requests access to that kiosk device's camera only to capture a required attendance photo; it does not request microphone access. PBC Maverick has no in-app purchases.
Security and retention
Information is protected in transit and access is limited through authentication and role-based controls. No system can guarantee absolute security. App-specific information is retained while needed for the purposes above. Service Check-ins photos are retained through the end of the semester following the semester in which the check-in occurred, then deleted; if the necessary semester dates are unavailable, the photo is retained until the retention boundary can be determined safely. The attendance record and related audit records may remain. Institutional academic, attendance, enrollment, financial, application, security, audit, communication, and legally required records may be retained under College policy even after access ends or an eligible-data request is completed.
Your choices
You can decline or disable push notifications without losing core app access. You may ask to access or correct information, revoke mobile sessions, withdraw optional notification consent, receive a copy of eligible data, or request deletion of eligible app-specific data. Submitting a request does not automatically delete an institutional account or record. Use the account and data request form.
